Terms & Conditions
Welcome to our island-hopping experience, a unique journey across Clare Island and Inishturk in County Mayo. By booking and participating in this experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed in advance.
The price of the experience is fixed and non-negotiable. Guests may choose not to participate in certain activities, but this will not affect the overall cost of the booking.
2. Meals and Beverages
Meals are included in the package; however, drinks are not included and must be paid for separately. The only exception is the complimentary bottle of Prosecco on arrival to your Inishturk Cottage accommodation on the first night of your stay.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the scheduled arrival date on Inishturk will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will incur an 100% cancellation fee.
If sailings are cancelled due to weather and the trip cannot proceed, a full refund will be issued.
4. Weather and Travel Disruptions
Please note that weather conditions may impact scheduled sailings to and between the islands. Safety is our top priority. Flexibility is essential, and we appreciate your understanding.
In the event of weather-related cancellations that prevent the trip from taking place, guests will receive a full refund.
These are offshore Atlantic islands, and weather can be unpredictable. By booking, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of offshore travel in the Atlantic, including rough seas, changes to itinerary and/or diverted sailings. Guests should come prepared for wind and rain with appropriate waterproof footwear and rain gear. Experiencing the elements is part of the authentic island adventure.
5. Itinerary and Activities
While we strive to deliver all scheduled activities, unforeseen circumstances may lead to last-minute changes or cancellations.
In such cases, alternative activities will be offered where possible.
The organisers are committed to making your experience as memorable as possible but cannot be held liable for changes beyond their control.
6. Passenger Responsibilities
You must check in and be ready to board at the time stated on your ticket. It is advised to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled sailing. Late arrivals may result in forfeiture of your booking without refund.
You must follow all crew instructions and safety briefings at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse carriage or to remove any passenger whose behaviour endangers others or disrupts operations, without refund.
7. Safety Onboard
You must wear safety equipment (e.g. lifejackets) as directed by the crew.
You acknowledge the risk of motion sickness and that refunds will not be issued in cases of sea-sickness. There are trained personnel on board should you require assistance.
8. Supporting Island Communities
We acknowledge that this is not a budget holiday. However, your participation directly supports the sustainability of island communities and the local economy.
Your contribution helps maintain essential services and livelihoods on Clare Island and Inishturk.
9. Liability
Guests participate in this experience at their own risk. The organisers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the trip.
It is the responsibility of each guest to ensure they are physically fit and suitably equipped for the activities involved.
